Looking to print, scan or copy? You’ll find devices across campus at our Student hub and bookshop. Printing from anywhere within the campus


The printing service is available to Staff and Students of JCU to print, scan & copy. Multi Function Devices (MFD) with Print , Scan and Copy are installed in high print use areas including Student lounge and bookshop.


You will have to first register your account details first with the Bookshop by using your EZ-Link card before you can print.

When connected to eduroam wireless network, you can use it to print documents from any of your device to any printer available on campus. Charges may apply, depending on which printer (Monochrome , Color) you use.


Web-browser based printing on Windows 7 / 8 / 10 | Android | OSX using Chrome | Firefox | Safari (6 steps)





Access the Print portal from your device and click on the print button





If you have already registered, sign in with your JCU account





Choose the file and enter number of copies required






Verify the print options and click continue







Wait for processing job to complete







When completed , you can collect the print job by tapping your EZ-Link card at the reader connected to the printing device



App Based Printing for (10 steps)






Download the PrinterON app from App Store







After installing, launch the App and tap on No Printer selected

Tap on Search and enter JCU_Print. Once the result appears tap on James Cook University







Tap on Settings at the bottom







Tap on User Accounts

User account






Tap Add Account and under User Setup , add JCU credentials

Add account






Tap Documents / Email / Photos / Web to open the file you want to print

Open files







Tap on the Print icon at top right once the desired document is loaded








Tap on Print at the bottom to send it to the desired printer
